Holding Short
The Skype internet phone system, which we rely on to do UCAP, is having some pretty significant system problems this morning. And "this morning" is when we had planned to record UCAP#43. So we're in a hold right now.
Between waiting for Skype to return, and finding a time when the whole gang is available, we may be delayed by a day or so. But we're coming.
In the meantime, here's a question for you all.
We've been thinking about implementing a discussion forum here. What do you all think about that? Would you look in regularly to see what's up? Would you make postings yourself? Discuss.

A forum sounds like an interesting idea, certainly one worth considering. One thing I'd personally like to see is a place to comment on an individual episode, either directly after the shownotes or as part of a forum. There are occasions when I have thoughts or comments about a specific subject that has been discussed. Having a place to leave those comments would be a welcome edition, and it might prompt further discussion from the panel members or other listeners.
Yes it does sound good. If you could implement rss or atom feeds so much the better. Easier to keep up that way.
yes absolutely a great idea! Like daveflys said it would be a great place to discuse topics in the show amongst the fans. also i beg u not to use the bbs format though
I am in. Any plane where pilots and aviation nuts can discuss flying and airplanes, I will be there. I say, just do it.

I think it's a good idea... I'll add it to the repertoire of aviation forums that I check daily. You guys raise some great points, and it would be wonderful to be able to comment on them. BTW - I passed my Private Pilot checkride on Wednesday, August 15, 2007!
- PJ in Texas (for some reason you keep referring to me as Philip in Texas when you reference my emails)
Congrats, PJ! You know, every time an old radial engine starts, a new pilot gets his/her wings...
Musta happened when I was at Dead Cow Wednesday and watched a Stearman depart for a local flight...;-)
Way to go -- and won't call you "Philip"...or "Shirley" for that matter.
mikey b,
have you come across a forum system that you do like? I'm on the lookout for a good one.
